Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation’s Diaper Drive Provides Over Three Months’ Supply to NOVA Diaper Bank
Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation received almost 4,200 food items and several hundred dollars in donations from generous credit union members, employees and corporate partners, including Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. for its Weekend Meal Drive.
Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation recently held its second annual Kids in Crisis drive, collecting over 400 plush toys, blankets, and other comfort items for local first responders to provide to children in crisis situations.

In August 2019, the NWFCU Foundation held its 10th annual Night of Magic celebration at Inova Children's Hospital. The annual Night of Magic gives children receiving treatment at local hospitals, and their families, a chance to attend a celebratory event, including music, dancing, food and more.
Northwest Federal Credit Union’s charitable arm, the NWFCU Foundation, recently awarded $150,000 in scholarships to college-bound individuals, including $20,000 to Northern Virginia Community College for their “Lifeline Grant,” an emergency relief fund for students on their campuses.

The Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) Foundation was announced as Honoree among the 12 Finalists and Honorees for the 2018 Cornerstones of Our Community-Best of Reston Awards. The selected Honorees were celebrated at the 2018 Cornerstones of Our Community – Best of Reston Awards Gala on April 12th for giving selflessly of their time, for the causes about which they are passionate, and in so doing making our community stronger.
The Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) Foundation, the charitable arm of Northwest Federal Credit Union, partnered with the College to donate a $10,000 Higher Education Award grant to NOVA-Loudoun Lifeline – an emergency relief fund for students at the Loudoun Campus.

Sharon K., resident of Herndon, VA was selected on June 15, 2017 as the winner of our car raffle in partnership with Carvana. Sharon selected a blue Ford Edge and her car was delivered on August 8, 2017. The NWFCU Foundation, the charitable arm of Northwest Federal Credit Union, partnered with members, corporations and Community Partners to donate over 7,000 child-friendly, nutritious, nonperishable food items as part of their Weekend Backpack Program.
The Foundation recognized 26 individuals as its 2017 scholarship award recipients with a record distribution amount of $140,000 and launched its new Higher Education Community College award. Over $1,000,000 in scholarship monies has been presented to 258 students since our program began 13 years ago.
