Winter Warmth: Envelop a Child in Comfort
In our community, the journey to school can be a long, freezing trek. A local school counselor recently shared the harsh reality: many of our students walk 10–30 minutes to reach their bus stops, often without adequate protection from the elements. For 87% of these economically disadvantaged students, the bitter cold isn't just uncomfortable, it’s a barrier to attendance.
No child should have to choose between staying warm and going to school.
That’s why we’re partnering with Koons Tysons Toyota for our annual Winter Warmth Drive.
Our mission is to provide 2,600 winter coats to ensure every student in our region can face the cold months with protection, comfort, and the confidence to keep learning.
With this cold weather I am so happy to see all the coats and shoes walking into our school! We are over the moon, and we appreciate you taking us under your wing.
