Ben DeFelice Scholarship
The Ben DeFelice Scholarship was established in 2005 to pay tribute to Mr. DeFelice, NWFCU’s longest running Chairman of the Board (31 years) and nine-year veteran of the Board of NWFCU’s subsidiary, Northwest Financial LLC. A dedicated leader and visionary, Mr. DeFelice played a pivotal role in the development and success of NWFCU.

- Ruth Ball of Steubenville, Ohio attends Franciscan University of Steubenville.
- Laura Ballweg is a 2008 graduate of Langley High School in McLean, Virginia and plans to attend the University of Delaware.
- Susanna Blauch is a 2008 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia and plans to attend the University of Virginia.
- Meagan Carrick is a 2008 graduate of Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia and plans to attend Ithaca College.
- Charles Cash of Madison Heights, Virginia attends the Virginia Military Institute.
- Susie Cooper is a 2008 graduate of Saratoga High School in Saratoga, California and plans to attend Baylor University.
- Amanda Jenkins of Ashburn, Virginia attends the University of Virginia.
- Jennifer Kammer, of Herndon, Virginia attends the University of Virginia.
- Hilary Koster of Thurmont, Maryland attends the Northern Virginia Community College.
- Allison Light is a 2008 graduate of Park View High School in Sterling, Virginia and plans to attend the University of Virginia.
- William Moore is a 2008 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia and plans to attend the University of Florida.
