About Us

The Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation was incorporated in 2004 as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. The Foundation leads NWFCU’s commitment to the community, embodying the very nature of "people helping people," even beyond the service and savings of the credit union.  The history and future of the Foundation seek to improve lives through charitable endeavors.

readingThrough the generous support of Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) members, the Board of Directors, committees and employees, the Foundation is able to:

  • Award scholarships, such as the Ben DeFelice Scholarship to deserving students within our field of membership who embody leadership, dedication and a commitment to community service.
  • Participate in financial literacy programs to help children and teens save, spend, invest and borrow wisely.
  • Support the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run which benefits Children's Miracle Network, local Children’s Hospital and more than 17 million children annually.
  • Participate in and contribute to other charitable programs which are in keeping with our focus and philosophy.
